Since 1920, DAV has been a leader in providing essential services to veterans — helping more than 1 million veterans each year access benefits, find meaningful employment, and live with dignity after service. 
DAV’s free programs include:
Benefits assistance: Expert advocates help veterans and their families file claims and access the benefits they’ve earned — free of charge.
Transportation services: A nationwide network of volunteers provides more than 200,000 free rides annually to veterans attending VA medical appointments.
Employment support: Through career fairs, DAV helps veterans and military spouses connect with employers across the country.
Advocacy: DAV works at local and national levels to ensure veterans’ voices are heard, and their rights are protected.
Disaster relief and outreach: The organization offers financial support and care kits to veterans affected by natural disasters and emergencies.
